Defining the Climate for Inclusiveness and Multiculturalism: Linking to Context

The purpose of this paper is to develop a better understanding how define positive climate for inclusiveness that recognizes the context and social environment participants. In order study employees working with Indigenous people minorities in four organizations, we used grounded research approach what an inclusive might look like. interview questions gathered examples experiences which valued because they felt more included not excluded from worked with. fell into categories, as follows: (i) leadership engaged supporting within organization; (ii) seeking community; (iii) being involved multicultural practices organization (iv) participating initiatives encourage engagement involvement. This paper’s conceptualization inclusion different other studies, possibly unique service organizations are placed, such typically work minorities. Although especially mindful danger generalizing our findings without further research, scope provide some direction future studies organizations. We suggest there also need be open methods allow individuals groups inclusivity relevant their context; may essential recognizing certain people.
